The wood furniture in the room was dusty and needed to be wiped. The a/c unit was the best part of the room. The mattress is really firm. Before accepting the room, be sure to confirm with staff that your reservation was PAID ONLINE. During check-out, the staff strong armed me into paying a second time. Due to me rushing to catch a flight, I caved in.

Outdated and poorly maintained guest house

Arrived at night to a poorly lit non air conditioned office. No equipment noted-signed in to a notebook! One staff on duty very helpful but minimum bare bones amenities. Our room was very spacious, air conditioned and though outdated with furnishings,clean. Hot water in bathroom but poor water pressure and torn shower curtain. Provided mobile internet in room. Breakfast was included, tea with bread and egg. We were met at the airport by their contracted driver but the next am had to take a cab, which the one staff called for us. Overall,pleasant staff but the outdated condition was not worth the $115Cdn we spent.

Perfect price for a close to the airport hotel

There are many nearby airport hotels, but this was by far the cheapest I found. And for the price paid, I rate it very highly. Down a non-tarmacadamed road (so what?) it is a haven of peace and tranquility. Our room was huge, everything worked, the bed was comfortable. The receptionist made us breakfast for 6.15 a.m. so we could get to the airport for 7.00 a.m. Please be warned Accra Airport (for RwandAir departures) is HAND SEARCHING baggage and this will take time. So allow plenty. The staff were very friendly, and if I need an Accra Airport hotel again, this is where I will reserve.

Likainen ja lupaa enemmän kuin antaa.

Huone oli tilava mutta likainen. Henkilökunta kyllä siivosi huoneen ja veivät likaisen maton pois, kun sitä vaadimme. Rakennusta ei ollut pidetty hyvässä kunnossa. Pieniä korjauksia olisi saanut tehdä joka puolella mm. sähköasennukset olivat paikoin vaarallisia. Suihkusta ei tullut kunnolla vettä. Sähköt olivat alueella usein ja pitkään pois päältä (normaalia Ghanassa), mutta vaikka generaattori oli olemassa sitä ei suostuttu pitämään päällä, kuin muutama tunti aamulla ja illalla. Henkilökunta yritti vain keksiä erillaisia syitä miksi generaattoria ei voinut pitää koko ajan päällä.

Safe, but not great.

Not worth the price. I can spend less in the USA and get a better place. Small bed, only people there but couldn't get breakfast early (had flight to catch). People were friendly, but maybe worth half the price. Wifi cut on and off every few seconds.

Surprising value for the price, highly recommended

I believe it is incredible value for the price. I wanted something which was accessible to/from the airport and the American embassy, and got exactly that (10 to 15 GHC one way to each of these places, don't pay more than that). There is also a driver for hire, if you need some more exotic service (like getting somewhere at 4am to catch a bus, etc). Walking distance to a major mall (The Palace) and a bunch of high quality eating places. Short drive to the Accra mall (10-15 GHC), where you can find whatever you need (plus a cinema). The internet can fluctuate in quality, but I am not sure that is this guesthouses's fault, more the local internet infrastructure. Tether to your smartphone as a backup, and you will always be online if needed. Overall, surprising value for the price, pleasantly surprised.

close to airport

the room was very spacious, was a bit disappointed in cleanliness of bathroom...issue with dirty shower curtain...thick dust on shower window but aside from that the room appear clean! the staff was just ok...not reALLY SHOWING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS..JUST OK....DIDNT FEEL WELCOMED...BUT SHE WAS OK...ROOM SERVICE WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT,,,BRINGING A EGG SANDWICH FOR BREAKFAST WAS THEIR IDEA OF ROOM SERVICE..NO RESTAURANT/ KITCHEN ON SITE TO ORDER ANYTHING ELSE...NO CHOICES,,,EGG SANDWICH FOR BREAKFAST THATS IT .. Facility Upgrade needed

Had to notify hotel staff to get proper water pressure too often before I took a shower (I think the pump was turned off too frequently or never reset after power outage), breakfast needs more if a full breakfast is given and you only get eggs, toast and tea, some type of meat and some type of vegetable or fruit. Toilet stop flushing (flap chain broke and needed to be reattached) for two days and I had to open top of toilet and open flap to flush the waste for two days until they repaired the chain/flap attachment)

When I get total Customer Service day and night, it makes staying away from home so much easier, loved the staff at East Airport Guesthouse would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying close to the airport and easy ride to and from Kotoka Int'l
