Wonderfully welcoming, helpful staff, great food and atmosphere, sports screens, social events, everything you'd expect from both a traditional and contemporary pub hotel. On the main strip of the Maitland city centre, close to shops, banks, groceries, restaurants, even a reasonable walking distance to Maitland train station. Upstairs accommodation...

"The hotel is in a quiet ,well maintained area ,very handy to the vineyards. It is a period convent and is a great place to stay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is excellent. Very highly recommended."

"The owners were great even let us late check out without extra charge due to circumstances. They were friendly and the cleaning staff were amazing with our little ones also. only thing I could say is the parking spaces are tight so if the place is full and u have a bigger car get in early or u will struggle a bit but luckily it wasn’t completly full so still 3-4 spaces left."

"Wide open parking, Motel was going though a bit of renovation. Rooms and elevator where clean and in good working order. Air conditioning was a bit under par, but worked enough to make the stay pleasant. No restaurant due to upgrades to the motel. "

"Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. "
