"Excellent stay"

"I stayed at The Weekly Inn in Jacksonville, Florida, after flying for 2 days, and my experience was frustrating overall. I arrived about 15–20 minutes before check-in and was charged an early check-in fee, which started things off on a disappointing note. My first room, located at the back of the building, had a strong unpleasant odor. After a few nights, I noticed what looked like roaches and reported it. I was moved to another room that same night, but upon settling in, I realized the door wouldn’t lock from the inside. Maintenance had to come late at night and spent time drilling and sawing just to secure it. Two days later, when I tried to leave, the door wouldn’t close properly and the lock actually came off in my hand. I called the front desk multiple times with no answer and had to leave the door ajar to get help in person. Maintenance couldn’t fix it, so I had to move again. In the new room, the toilet didn’t flush properly. On top of that, I was woken up early one morning by a loud, confrontational argument that lasted about an hour. Overall, the repeated room issues, lack of responsiveness, and disruptions made this a very disappointing stay. I believe a partial refund would have been appropriate given the circumstances."

"Room was clean. I booked a river side room and was put in a cityside, when I reminded them they changed it. View was breathe taking. 😀 Had to pay for parking which I had never had to do before 😞 should be included with your stay? Then I was under the understanding that buffet breakfast was included and was brought a bill for $42, for some scrambled eggs, bacon and yogurt for me and a yogurt, bacon a piece of sausage for my grandaughter? $42 ???? Location and view is not worth that, sorry."

"Nice, clean room. Kitchen was fine, not pots or cooking stuff but I didn't know we would have a kitchen. Staff was friendly and personable. Parking was fine, $10 per night, would have liked it to be free."
