From Norwegians: Amazing hotel area. The beach and the pool was beautiful, and cleaned every morning. Staff was helpful and kind. I would a 100% recommend this hotel. We were not that lucky with the room we recived (1st floor). It was a long way to the closest supermarket and the city.

Beautiful spacious hotel grounds/big balcony

Stayed 3 days in October at this exceptional hotel. There are many options for sun beds at the pool or beach in the sun or shade and never a problem to find one available. Our room was spacious and had a nice large balcony with seaview which I think they upgraded us. We went with the meal plan of buffet breakfast and dinners in which there was a big selection to suit everyone. Many families with young children stayed while we were here so at times, the buffets were quite busy but always enough food for everyone. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The only slightly negative point I did not give five stars for, was upon checking out we ordered their shuttle taxi service to the airport and someone was to get our luggage from our rooms. Unfortunately no one came before the taxi arrived so we carried the luggage ourselves. I would still recommend to others as a great place !

We stayed at Candia Park for the last 3 nights of a delightful vacation in Crete where we sampled 4 different hotels. We had great expectations for Candia based on its appointment as a 4-star resort (and high cost) and the photos on Expedia. We were very disappointed and felt totally overcharged spending so much on a basic room with no amenities. The location is lovely and the grounds are nicely laid but the studio itself was outdated, extremely bare bones, and dark and musty with a patio facing another building. The bathroom had mildew that smelled so strong that we had to keep the windows open. Pictures on the website are totally misleading. Candia was also unwelcoming. At check in, the front desk politely sent us to our room with an emailed PDF to explain the grounds of the resort and what was available, leaving us confused about access to the beach. Very impersonal. We were given three very hard pillows for our three guests, nothing extra in any part of the room. No amenities at all. We did not eat at the resort. but it would have been impossible to cook in the little kitchen given the impractical utensils in the room (a ladle, a big fork and a bread knife). Such a contrast to the less expensive hotels we stayed at in Crete which, even when simple, were warm and had so many thoughtful personal touches.

We hebben een mooi verblijf gehad met familie en kinderen. Het is een goed hotel met een leuke sfeer. Het strand is mooi, hoewel de kade met de watersporten het beeld een beetje verpest. Daar tegenover staat wel dat je met gemak water sporten kan doen (tegen betaling). Het eten is redelijk, wel met veel variatie. De service is redelijk, maar het is wel wat ongeorganiseerd en chaotisch. Design van het resort is leuk. Het belangrijkste is dat het een zeer kind en familie vriendelijke hotel is met activiteiten en een mini club voor de kids. Ik denk niet dat je hier moet komen zonder jonge kinderen, want anders wordt je gek. Al met al een goede ervaring gehad.

We had an absolute blast at this resort — everything about it was amazing! What stood out most for us was how family-friendly it was. Each restaurant had something for the kids to do, and it was never frowned upon to have them run around — quite the opposite. The staff was incredible with our children and made us feel so welcome. We’re all the way from Canada and would absolutely come back. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

Otroligt trevligt ställe omedelbart vid havet, spännande design med mysig, byliknande miljö. Maten på restaurangerna är helt ok och det finns en mindre matbutik för den som vill ha självhushåll. Ett stort plus för den vänliga och tillmötesgående personalen. Ett hotell man gärna återvänder till!

We found the accommodation to be overrated, the complex is of a Greek 4 star standard and is not well maintained. The buffet restaurant is designed for mass tourism and accordingly. Sunbeds were already reserved with towels by guests at 8am, so that we didn't get a free sunbed after breakfast (during the high season in August).
