"Our room was comfortable, pool area was a nice place to relax. The only down side for us was the casino. It was far to smokey for me. The smell hits you the second walk in the door and stays with you. Had to shower before going to bed. There is a non-smoking section in the casino, which I appreciate the effort, but it did not help that much."

"For the price of the room, they could do a lot better. Sofa was dirty, ripped curtains in the living room and floors were pretty dirty. The shower in the master room was draining very slow too. There was an on site restaurant which was nice. There were also lake rentals that weee very convenient. Staff was nice. It was ok. Most likely not returning."

"We attended a wedding at a nearby winery. Although we live in San Diego, we decided to spend the night close to the venue. I was pleasantly surprised by Pala Mesa. The rooms are nice, and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property."

"The renovated rooms are so nice! I do think the weekend rates are definitely too high, however, the weekday rates are fair and it’s a nice area near the ocean."

"Although the desk operator was super efficient and very professional, there were cobwebs in the corner of the front office and it looked uninviting. The room smelled like Pine Sol, and I had to leave bc my head started aching. I do not recommend this place."

"Not sure how to describe my disappointment with this property. Some faults were on me and some on the property. Very expensive and many added charges. I suppose it is normal for a “resort” in CA but the room was musty and had a few dead bugs and thus my disappointment. Also no elevators and we were on the 2 nd floor. We are seniors and that was inappropriate for us. We could have said something’s but the check in desk was about 1/4 mile away from where we were told to go our...

"La atención muy buena La habitación excelente. El aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien el refrigerador funcionaba bien y el microwave muy bien. Todo muy limpio y el desayuno. Excelente. Sin duda volveremos pronto."

"The beds are very old box spring beds and pop every time you move. Fridge doesn't cool enough, The cable went out. Only 2 small towels provided. We stayed 4 days and no one cleaned our room once. It was quiet and clean. The grounds and pool seemed ok. We didn't use them though."

"The property also has a homeless shelter on property. So property was crawling with people. There was a roach that came into our room on the second floor we ask if there was a bug issues she answered with im not the manager and manager is not on property. They were not helpful at all. So we left."

"The unit was very big and beds were very comfortable. Parking was a challenge but front and back parking was convenient. there’s always parking on the street even though you don’t want leave your car full of stuff on the street. the train was a daily noise-since it is across the street. Other than that pretty quiet area. Very close to several beaches. Moonlight Beach and Ponto.All in all good place to stay."
