Erica the owner is very lovely and is always very accommodating. We stay here often and find the property always very clean and tidy. It is a great place to relax and recharge. We love the sound of the stream when the sliding door is open and the native garden surrounding the stream.

Very clean and comfortable room. Owner very lovely and hospitable. Bed was comfortable. We were sad our visit coincided with a flooding event in the area so we couldn’t only spend one night here instead of our originally planned 2 nights. Akaroa and Banks Peninsula are beautiful and we hope to come back so we can fully enjoy the area someday.

We enjoyed our stay at La Rochelle. There was plenty of hot water for showers after skiing. The beds and balcony was great 😀

Hosts are a lovely, friendly couple. The property is easy to find & close to everything. Unfortunately there is a hotel nearby where they played music all Saturday night (5.45am & still going). The rest of our stay was peaceful though & with the tinkle of the stream next to us, sleep wasn't a problem. Love this place!

Room was a good size and we had everything provided that we required. Staff very helpful. Used the washing machine and dryer which was very welcome after travelling around South Island. Lots of restaurants close by and more if you wished to walk a bit further over to the harbour. Worth booking if the area is busy. It was quiet when we were there and a few the restaurants were still fully booked. A quick vacuum of the stairs and the balcony area would have given it a 5 star, but we couldn't fault it overwise. Great couple of nights.
