"Stayed only one night in July- two adults and two kids and I’m fairly picky about hotels. Our room was on the road side of the property. Everything was lovely and we would return. The staff was so helpful (but it is not staffed round the clock), the room was very clean- I gave four stars for this because there was some dust collected above the cabinets and the bed scarf- and it was tastefully decorated.
Cons: The pillows were too hard for me and I couldn’t figure out how to open the window so we ran the register fan all night. The restaurant looked pleasant but was not open and the convenience store across the way closes pretty early. The coffee filters provided were basket shaped for a cone shaped coffee pot (still worked tho). If you care about road noise, choose the lake side of the property
Pros: the best part for us was the location. You get a taste of lake life without the hassle or the expense of renting a cabin. There is a long private dock you can swim from and a bunch of plastic kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboard, and life jackets available for guest use. It’s all unmonitored and free of charge. You sign a waiver and use at your own risk. This was amazing for us as we were planning to find a place to rent kayaks and this saved us money and effort. It felt very private and carefree. There is a large section of lily pads close to their shore and we had a lot of fun sneaking up on large green frogs in our kayaks.
Really glad we stayed there!"
