"A fabulous authentic Portuguese boutique hotel. Such style and charm made it quite unique. The beach club and staff were charming. Would highly recommend. Will certainly return."
"Verdelago is literally heaven on earth! We travel often and we generally stay at higher end places, so we are quite spoiled, but this resort is probably the nicest we have ever stayed at. The decor is beautiful and the natural setting is absolutely gorgeous. The beach is incredible and you can lounge on a fancy beach bed or chair, which is included. The food at the pool bar is quite good. We ate at the restaurant for dinner one evening and the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We were there for 4 days during the 3rd week of June, so it was not quite peak season. The resort was fairly quiet, especially for the first part of the week (which we enjoyed). It will likely get busier as time goes on since they are currently building an additional area (which is scheduled to open in 2028). This was our first trip to Portugal (and the Algarve region) and we are already planning a trip back!"
"A lovely hotel only a few minutes walk from the centre of the resort. The staff are lovely and include lots of nice touches. We both celebrated birthdays and received cake a fizz each time. Gets a bit busy at the breakfast buffet, but overall a great hotel."
"A lovely hotel with an amazing pool. The food at the pool bar was very nice and good value for money.
The sofa bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable and we were woken at 8:20 by drilling which was very annoying.
Front desk staff very helpful and friendly."
"Bien placé , très bien que c’est eux qui loue les kayaks ou le tour de bateau et c’est directement à côté de l’hôtel . Stationnent gratuit dans la rue. Bon déjeuner à 10 euro. Tout était propre et tranquille . Seulement salle de bain un peu vieillot ."
"The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the motorway with fantastic views over the river and out to sea.
Staff were helpful accepted an Amazon parcel delivery for our fellow travellers and quickly upgraded their rooms on request Rooms clean and tidy and kept so. Air conditioning ok and way to control. Breakfast is expensive and not worth it and there is much better value in the town. Bar staff very friendly. Hotel not particularly busy.
For a Parador it is good value especially booked well in advance"
