"My room was not well served with sockets and light switches. I expected them to be at the bedside as is the norm. Plus I object to paying extra to park my car, including having to book through a different website. It does the hotel no favours."

"No complaints at all about our one night stay in a very comfortable riverside facing room. Check-in was very easy with helpful staff; room clean and comfortable; bed acceptable with plenty of pillows; bathroom clean and well provisioned; tea/coffee facilities available with more supplies on request. Breakfast was very good buffet style, especially compared to other hotels that want to charge more for fully cooked. Both continental and cooked available on same tariff and reasonable quality across cereals to the cooked items. All in all, very comfortable stay, lovely lady on check-out, car parking available at £20/night but right in City; would stay here again"

"Excellent 3 night stay the room was very spacious a little dated but spotlessy clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also large and spotless with bath and over shower. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff are very welcoming and very helpful. The big bonus was being allowed to park my car early on the check-in day and check in later. Absolutely fantastic service. Many thanks. Will definitely consider using again even Harrogate"

"Very comfortable one night stay in a nice, clean hotel set in wonderful grounds. Staff were all professional and friendly. Food presentation and quality was excellent. Bar area cosy and relaxing. 3 star hotel with a 5 star service. Only negative for me is the bathroom in the larger executive room we stayed in was very tired and is in need of a revamp. Overall, the stay was very relaxing, with the hotel located in a nice country setting and staff were all welcoming."
