Cooktop wasn’t working Toilet wasn’t flushing No elevator Tried to contact host , was always delayed on response We were excited to cook and have homemade meals, no response from host on time , end up eating out dinner and breakfast, cost almost 1000 host had excuses about been in touch with us , we had my phone number and email that they could contact and on top of that they were texting me So they would have help me or call me We were so tired of our road trip , wanted to have food cooked meals, we are so disappointed.We like some kind of reimbursement on this , we even stay less than 8 hours,

Aalesund City Apartment was a pleasant place for our family to finish our trip through Norway. The location was convenient, and the building was easy to find after arriving by Uber. We stayed in the fourth-floor terrace unit and appreciated being allowed to enter a little early, although we waited on the terrace while the cleaning staff finished preparing the apartment. The unit was clean, modern, and newly renovated. The kitchen was well equipped, and the cookware and utensils appeared to be in very good condition. The main challenges were the size and accessibility. There is no elevator, and carrying luggage up four floors on very narrow stairs could be difficult, especially for guests with large or heavy bags. The apartment itself was extremely small and felt quite tight for our family of three. The bathroom was also very compact, particularly the shower. The room became warm at night, there was no accessible air-conditioning control, and opening the windows resulted in considerable street noise. The washer-dryer combination was convenient, but unfortunately, the drying function did not dry our clothes properly. Overall, the apartment was clean, modern, and conveniently located, but it would be better suited for one or two travelers with light luggage rather than a family needing additional space.

This apartment is very small. The bed is against the wall and the person sleeping next to the window has to clamber over the other person to get out. The kitchen has a hob only, not an oven. The wet room is good. All in all, basic but adequate and clean

This is a very nice apartment in an excellent location. It was snowing and raining during our visit so it was great to have the kitchenette to have soup and warm drinks in the evening. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was clean. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ålesund—the hotel is in a fantastic, central location that made it easy to explore the area on foot. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant. However, the biggest downside was the noise at night. There’s a bar just around the corner, and we could hear people coming and going at all hours. Unfortunately, it made for a less restful sleep than we had hoped. If you’re someone who prioritizes location and doesn’t mind a bit of nightlife noise, this hotel is a great choice. But if a quiet night’s sleep is important to you, it’s something to consider.

In our 2 wonderful week's time in Norway, this was by far the worst stay experience. We booked for 3 guests, specifically for the washer/dryer amenity as we knew we'd need to do a load of laundry for the remainder of our trip, and the place and location looked nice. Expedia's description states that an email would be sent 24 hours prior to self check-in. The apartments messaged right after booking, stating they would send an email with check-in instructions within 1 hour prior to check-in. We did NOT receive any email within the hour prior to check-in, nor at any time, with check-in instructions. We stood on the street corner, after the stated check-in time, messaging the hotel - which we received no response, then contacting Expedia for support. Since it took some time, we walked to a nearby cafe with all our luggage . Expedia was able to reach the apartments, and they said they had text us the access code to the apartments, but I NEVER received any text from them. I don't understand why they didn't email the instructions as they said they would. Very, very frustrating. We finally received a message from the hotel via Expedia with access code about 45 minutes after check-in time. We dropped off our bags in a hurry so we could explore Alesund, returning late in the evening. By then we realized there was no laundry soap, no directions on how to use the washer/dryer combo, no extra blanket, pillow, and towel for my child. Completely ruined our Alesund experience.
