"Going in we knew it was a historic building but the room was dark and minimal compared to other similar facilities we have stayed at. No one was at the desk to check us in, we had to call on phone at desk to pay for parking before getting code to lock box for key to room. There was no mention of a code to get back in the building in the evening. Breakfast was the standard continental breakfast. Beautiful area with an old church and covered bridge."

"The room was cute and cabin-like however the bedding was terrible, as during the night it would fall to the floor and the so called pillow was hard to describe, flat as a pancake and lumpy, certainly not comfortable. There was no fridge nor kettle which should be standard in hotel units."

"It is too far walking from train station. Bus not operating due to construction for a week. Even bus is operating, you still need to walk uphill about 500 m . We have to walk uphill for about 20 mins. I would suggest to stay in Grindelwald ( nice view ) or Interlaken area. They picked us up but their rate is not standardized, depends on the receptionist. "OH MY!! WHAT AN AMAZING ROOM! We splurged for the balcony room and if you can do it you SHOULD. It was the most amazing room I have ever stayed in. Staff were outstanding and very professional. Bar tender was excellent. Would not have changed one thing about our stay!!"
