"The staff at the Byward Blue Hotel were very helpful. Especially reception staff. Breakfast was good with gluten free options. It is a convenient location for quite a number of prominent sites."

"This is home built in 1886. If you like that idea, you will love it. Old stairs, old rooms well maintained and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and loved our room. Breakfast was delicious."

"The outside of the hotel was the disappointing part of our stay as there were several unhoused people laying in front of the entrance and visibly using substances with tournaquets and needles. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds. The coffee maker did not work and there were limited soaps, lotions etc in the bathroom. I expected a bit more for the price we paid."

At approximately 8:30 a.m., we requested two bathrobes; however, only one was delivered, and it did not arrive until approximately 10:00 a.m. We also experienced ongoing difficulties with the hot water in our room. The water temperature was extremely difficult to regulate, requiring constant adjustments between the hot and cold settings. In addition, we utilized the valet parking service but were not advised that vehicle retrieval...

"the hotel was conveniently located however the restaurant was super slow and not equipped to serve a full dining room took two hours for dinner … Parking is scarce not enough spots for the amount of rooms and if you leave you could come back to a full lot and no place to park"

"Room was dirty. Wi-Fi didn't work. Curtains were worn and didn't block light very well. Location ok if you don't mind walking half an hour to get to town."

"Hotel was nice enough. However it would have been nice to know in advance that the pool and the hot tub were closed for renovations. We also noted that the carpet in the hallway could have used a vacuum as there was food particles that never got cleaned up for 3 days. The location was nice for us as we enjoyed the 30-minute walk into downtown Ottawa. We were on the 6th floor and had a nice view of the river."

"Booked a room with private bathroom. Description did not say bathroom was not in room. Others were using the bathroom. Messaged the host was told to lock it! Very old poorly kept house. It’s a dorm style for students, and cost me $578 for the night! Do not recommend this place. I did let the property owner know of the bathroom issue they offered to refund me some but have not seen any refund."
