"Just a beautiful place to stay"

"We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. The radiator also didn’t work for the whole duration for the stay and as it was a rainy day we struggled having no heating or hot water. Half way through getting ready to go out on the second...

"Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. "The hotel is fabulous, the staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are clean and luxurious. The only thing that could be improved is to fit air conditioning in the rooms. At night the room became quite stuffy and it's not possible to open patio doors at night. Apart from that - amazing"

"Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out."

"Stunning location but Very Small old TV in the room, sadly no hot water at 6pm one evening… a hot bath intended after a long hike…sadly din’t happen. Good food, good beer and friendly staff. Close to road so some road noise on a night and early morning."
