"I recently stayed at The Line Hotel in Los Angeles and overall had a very good experience. The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which really made the stay enjoyable. One of the highlights was having Alfred Coffee right in the lobby. It was super convenient and added to the overall vibe of the hotel. The Openaire restaurant and common spaces were also visually beautiful and created a fun, lively atmosphere.
One thing I think potential guests should know is that the hotel is often described as “modern,” but I would describe it more as eclectic or industrial-inspired than truly modern. The exposed concrete walls definitely give it character, but if you’re expecting sleek, polished, ultra-modern decor throughout, that’s probably not the best description of the overall aesthetic.
The room itself was comfortable and perfectly adequate for the few days we stayed. However, there was visible wear and tear throughout the room. The carpet looked somewhat worn, and personally I’m not a fan of carpet in hotel rooms. I also noticed scuff marks around the closet/storage area and on much of the wood furniture and finishes. None of it ruined the stay, but the room could definitely benefit from some refreshing and cosmetic updates. The only real downside for me was the restaurant food. While the staff there were very kind and attentive, the food felt average for the price point and somewhat overpriced. Overall, I’d still recommend The Line!"
