If you want to see a really cool monastery, get to the Black Sea in Turkey and along to Trabzon. Sumela monastery is a car trip out of town. You must walk the final part up to this monastery built into the cliff face in AD 386. This is one of my most favourite discoveries because it's still quite unknown. "The property was nice; however, it seemed that construction was not yet completed in the surrounding area and even in the shower. The design, concept, and location are great. The staff were helpful. Laundry service is available, around 500 TRY just for washing. Breakfast was enjoyable, especially with the view. The bed in the room was a bit noisy whenever you moved. Overall, it was an alright stay for one night."
