"We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. "

"The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. We hit it in the middle of a heat wave and there is no AC, in fact there’s likely no AC in most of the village but the normal temperature does not require it. We were just unlucky. "The cost for the rooms, dinner and drinks was very expensive for what it was. The bedroom I stayed in had a broken blind which let the light in, the bedside lamp was also broken, the Manager was grumpy, but two very nice waitresses. Otherwise not to be recommended at that price."

"Having booked and prepaif a room I was a bit disappointed that every bar and food transaction had to be pre-paid and I could not run a tab. This was particularly frustrating as bar service was a bit slow and I was with a client meaning I had to break our discussion several times. Additionally in the room there is an emergwncy light.
