"Bed was comfortable and room size was good. Breakfast lacked substance, but was varied slightly each day. Portion sizes were small. The 'buffet' was split between two rooms. There is not enough seating at breakfast. I had to wait for people to finish on one occasion.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hostal has a 'silence after 9pm' policy. "We had an amazing time in Quito staying at the hotel. Lovely building with interesting furniture and art. Bedroom was comfortable and extremely clean. Lovely bed, excellent views . Shower was hot and hotel provided us with a heater when it got chilly. David the manager and he's partner pierrina are very helpful. We were met at the airport by pierrina, the transfer was easy. Quito itself was wonderful, so much to see and the architecture is devine. It's lovely to walk around the old town . Rosa...
