"The hotel looks lovely, the location is great, and the rooms were perfectly clean.
The Bad:
The service completely took the shine off our stay. I had emailed weeks in advance requesting that our group’s rooms be placed next to each other. We were put on the same floor but across the corridor. Frustratingly, our room actually had an adjoining door to another room, so the hotel clearly has the right layout for groups—they just didn't bother to allocate it properly despite the advanced notice.
The water filter/ice machine in reception was broken. When we got back to the hotel around 9:00 PM on a weekday, I went to the bar&grill to buy large bottles of water. Even though it advertises opening until 10:00 PM, I was told it was already closed. (Lucky I didn't want food, as that would have been a disaster). I was directed to the reception fridge instead, forcing me to buy small glasses of water at a much higher expense.
To make matters worse, when I went down the next morning to get water for our group, the bar refused again, and the reception fridge was completely empty and was told there was no more even though less than 10ft away were bottles in the bar fridge."
