"Came for two nights and the room we were first in was clean but very tired and the TV didn’t work but we arrived late so were grateful for somewhere to rest our heads. We were moved to a different room for our next night and the A/C was broken but we had a working TV. I’m not sure we would stay here again but couldn’t fault the staff. The decor and amenities just need a bit of a sort out."

"Hotel guest parking at the rear through barrier (though barrier was up when I arrived and up when I left. Entrance to reception also at rear. Fuss free check in, first floor room in typical Greene King style. Reasonably clean and tidy with everything set out for single guest (only 2 pillows, 2 tea bags, 2 milk sachets....) Tiny bathroom, good job heating was off or using the toilet could have led to burnt leg. Surprisingly quiet during the night right up to 6am when all the early birds were...

"Friendly welcome, clean tidy room, no smells, two small spiders. Comfy bed, nice hot shower. Breakfast was excellent, good choice."

"Should have been better. Classy conversion not maintaining standards. Soundproofing of rooms is poor so you heat outside road and all the going ons internal to the hotel. Breakfast quality mediocre, not worth paying for. Reception on arrival at 8pm was deserted and took a few minutes for someone to appear, generally indifferent welcome. Won’t be staying here again. "

"Good : Easy to find, great comms, generally very clean indeed, quality of bathroom (great shower) and general decor far exceeded my expectation. Bad : False fire alarm at 4.30am, used underwear and socks from.previous guest in a drawer."

"Had a great overnight stay before meeting up with all our Family. The staff were so accommodating. They even organised a room just off the lounge so that our family could meet up for coffee and the three grandchildren could open their Xmas presents. The hotel is beautiful and our room was spacious and comfortable and we even saw a woodpecker on the grounds. Thank you Ansty Hall."

"Room was clean and nicely presented. There is significant building work taking place so restaurant not open (which they did pre-warn me about,), and skeleton staff. However, the staff were super helpful and friendly. Everything closes at 8pm ( bar, front gates etc) so not a place to stay if you are looking to relax of an evening outside of your room. "
