"Charming hotel in a unique position with excellent access to the main square for dining and shopping. The bar and breakfast room are lovely. Staff all friendly and also helpful when necessary eg our kettle didn’t work. (Quickly replaced). Our bathroom sliding door seemed to be missing a handle but forgot to mention as it did have a recessed finger pull. Saumur was an amazing place and we really enjoyed our short stay on the way back to Caen to catch the ferry home. Will return at some point...

"The setting was unique. Originally hundreds of years old stone farmhouse. Grounds were extensive with vegetation, creek and pond, ponies, goats, etc. And many birds for bird watching. Gourmet restaurant on the premises."
