It's remote -- the town of Claryville is like much of the Catskill mountains -- I was in Phonecia for several days last summer -- in that towns seem to lack a town center or even a substantive grocery store or restaurants. "The inn is very pretty. Make sure to have all the instructions available before you arrive. We arrived late at night, nobody was at the front desk and cell phone reception was terrible so it took me a bit of time to find the room number and code to get in. Be ready to take stairs to get to your room. The room was beautiful and so clean. We never got to see any staff on site, but our short stay was very pleasant."

"Nothing necessarily wrong with the hotel, it’s the area. It’s very secluded. We used it as a stop destination in our way to another location. It was nice and quiet at night though, very peaceful."

"Everything about this stay was excellent! At check in Adriana made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations for the area. The food at Dandies was so great that we ate there two out of the three nights of our stay. At the Dandies bar, Jaime and Andre were fun to talk to and very attentive. Room was spotless and decor was perfection. Grounds were gorgeous. Cannot wait to stay again!"
