"Place was nice and very clean. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we booked a “superior” view room and got an awkward corner room with a balcony right next to another room’s. The room was massive, but we more-so cared about the view, which we didn’t really get much of. Very strange given the photos in the listing suggested a nicer look at the river."

"Amazing place to stay in when in Darien. Dave and JoAnn were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The inn is located in the quiet neighborhood. Great views of the marsh from their patio. Room was very clean and cozy. Will stay here again next time we’re in town."

"We rented 2 rooms. The staff was fine, nothing special to point out, but the rooms had an odor and the bedsheets felt damp like the room had been super humid and the AC did not do enough to make up for that. I would not stay here again."

"We were on a time crunch and our hosts had stopped at the hotels a couple days prior to see if we could get early check in, only to be greeted by a girl at the front desk sitting on a chair with her shoes off and chomping on a pork chop, Seriously? Her reply was basically NO can do to our hosts. Is this the type of people Best Western hires to represent their brand? Pretty unprofessional and lacking serious customer skills."

"Staff needs to take bag “daily”- take an month and clean grounds/edges. No coffee in office. No shampoo or hair blower. Tile in shower needs replacing. The room was generally good."

"The location was great. The staff was amazing. The restaurant and breakfast food was great. However, The beds were horrible. The mattresses were sorn so much that all you felt was springs and dips in the matress. The pillows flattened down to nothing. My sleep was interrupted many times because I was uncomfortable as was my wife. My son and his family had the sam experience in their room. Also, the bathroom had a pocket door that was cut so crooked that it would not lock. I will be choosing...

"The staff is excellent! Each of the women at the front desk went out of their way to be helpful! On the other hand, I think that when you claim a refrigerator and microwave, the refrigerator should be big enough to hold food with the door closed and the microwave should rotate without sticking and stopping. Potential customers should be told at the time of booking that Rooms booked through online outside sites will mean needing to pay for the breakfast that’s advertised."
