Such an amazing room felt so comfortable staff are amazing room was amazing for the price I paid. I have the most amazing stay with my partner and I will definitely be going back again
Breakfast was lovely too
Nice hotel, breakfast was good. Wouldve like the restaurant to be open in the evening.
Bar hosted by 'Kev' was a really friendly and helpful guy, made the stay much better and would give him 5* for service.
The family room we booked was spacious and comfy. It was quiet which suited us, although the hotel does have a games room and a bar. We went to Ashdown town for dinner. Breakfast was decent as well. I liked it

Adequate in good location for Derbyshire visits
An adequate base for a visit to Ashbourne and beyond into Derbyshire. A bit tired and dated, but provides everything you need. No view, only one small window over the kitchen sink, facing the courtyard car park and road beyond. Other windows are skylights.Be prepared for the farmyard smells, cattle sheds are immediately behind. We'd use again for a short break, but nothing longer.

Lovely people that run the hotel..made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in with our spaniel..room was very cosy..breakfast was amazing..lots to choose from including a full English..location perfect for tissington trail..definitely going to book again...
Nice area near walking trail. Room was ok, a little dated but clean.Hosts very friendly and helpful and cooked full english breakfast to order.Next to a cow farm, ok if you are not averse to farming smells
Absolutely fantastic break for myself and partner and 2 dogs. Huge room, spotless facilities and very dog friendly. Breakfast was very generous with so much choice. Beautiful gardens and the hotel sits adjacent to the Tissington Trail. So many beauty spots within a short driving distance or cycle ride. Staff were so friendly and helpful also. Could not fault this hotel for the very reasonable price.

Friendly staff! Dated decor but clean.
Didn’t realise there was no food service in the evenings so we had to make alternative arrangements, had I of realised I would have most likely chosen different accommodation.
However on the whole a nice place to stay
We disliked the room and the hotel atmosphere and the smell so bad we actually couldn’t even stay in the hotel.

I won't be returning
The mattress was so over-rhe-top soft that I ended up sleeping on the floor. There was a peculiar and unpleasant smell in the living room. The front door was out of alignment with the frame so I struggled to lock it; this is probably why it was left unlocked for my arrival and why I was told to leave it the same way. The exit out onto the fairly busy, moderately fast road has a blind corner to the right.

Has the potential to be amazing. A little rough around the edges, but clean. Needs a thermostat so you can do the heating yourself as it wasnt on when we wanted/needed. A plug in radiator was however supplied ao that did save the day. If touched up, would be a really amazing little place.
