Front desk staff (Lynn) was outstanding. TV situation was substandard (no cable or streaming, just sad digital channels. Sink stopper inoperative in bathroom and sink water pressure was pitiful. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not.
The front staff was helpful from the beginning, especially Lynn. The hotel was clean and well maintained! All staff that we encountered were very helpful.
The convenience at the location is good. Unfortunately, parking is $25 a day. Our room was just okay. It was a little musky. I would not sit on the couch. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were great. The toilet sits so low that it's almost impossible to get up once you sit on it! The bathroom lighting sucked. The TV was a little on the small side and too low. The staff was very friendly. They give you a delicious warm cookie and free waters. Our door in room 605 did not fit correctly and was very difficult to open and shut without slamming it. We enjoyed the refrigerator and the coffee maker. Overall a very good stay.
Very clean and quiet hotel, all within walking distance to the Harrah convention center and downtown. Conveniently located next to the highway for easy access other locations.
Nice spacious room with a white noise machine to help alleviate the highway noise (mountain view side.) Comfy beds!
A few things missing for me: no half n half in room. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. TV was cable and after years of watching streaming services, cable is absolutely horrid as it is almost nothing but commercials!
Breakfast was ok. I would eat elsewhere.
Front desk staff was wonderful! Always pleasant and helpful.
Best part: proximity to a very walkable downtown!
We were pretty much ignored. Not offered the water or cookies until we finally asked. Housekeeping did not stop by until the 4th day.
Indoor pool was too cold to use.
Location to walking downtown was very good. Mountain view was good and it is a very quiet place even though it is right there at I-240.
I never got my emailed statement.
This hotel was in a great location to easily walk downtown or hop on the freeway to head further out. Our room was clean, had everything we needed, and felt pretty spacious for the two of us. Just a note - our room did face the hotel across the street and if you don't have one of the shades down, you can see in their room and they can see in your room. The mattress wasn't our favorite, but that's a personal preference. Parking was generally readily available in the hotel lot ($25/day self parking) during the week, but it got pretty crowded heading into the weekend.
The front desk staff was fantastic, always kind and friendly. We had a couple questions during our stay and each time, with different staff, they were super helpful and went above and beyond to take care of us.
We had a week-long stay and had breakfast on-site 3 days of our stay as a quick option before heading out on adventures. It was great! Wonderful service and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We also tried the rooftop bar for a light dinner one night and were a bit underwhelmed. The views were nice, cocktails were good, but service was slow and we didn't feel the food was worth the price. Perhaps we just caught a bad night, others seem to love it.
Overall, we would stay here again if we ever return to Asheville and would recommend it as a great option for others.
