"Room, hotel & restaurant beautifully kept and decorated. Bed was fabulous. Food was wonderful. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The grounds were spacious for dining in or out- a great place to relax. Highly recommended."

"The pub is charming but very, very loud and our room opened out to the courtyard. The room was very hot because it faced the sun and the day was bright, so we needed to open the window and then had a lot of pub noise. The en suite bath was tiny but operational. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful and despite a busy evening, they managed to seat us so we could eat. The food as good too both for dinner and breakfast."

"Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und das Frühstück sehr lecker, mit einer wirklich guten und vielfältigen Auswahl. Leider ist das Hotel insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Man hat den Eindruck, dass seit mehreren Jahrzehnten kaum etwas renoviert oder modernisiert wurde. Besonders negativ aufgefallen sind uns die sehr schmutzigen Fenster, sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Frühstücksraum. Im Frühstücksraum hingen außerdem deutlich sichtbare Spinnweben an der Decke. "The Palm was such a lovely place to start our vacation! The location is great and the staff were kind and helpful. The room itself was spacious with plenty of character. We wish we could have stayed for longer. The only drawback is parking as it is a very busy road."

"Couldn’t sleep room felt like a sauna. No aircon nor water bottles in room. Nothing in the mini fridge. Only a plug in desktop fan available. Gym in terrible state - 3 treadmills tested didn’t work. Very limited equipment. I kept & no water. Buffet breakfast was fine but took three goes to order the porridge which came different from ordered. Parking is an extra cost - have to grab a ticket on entrance then pass to reception to validate. Staff seemed very nice. Room kept very well...
