What a wonderful stay! The room was super clean and the area was beautiful. We had an interesting night walk where we learnt so much. The hosts were super kind and accommodating. Wish I was still there!

My boyfriend and I spent 2 absolutely perfect nights here. Pierre was so incredibly helpful and all but predicted our needs. From arranging taxis for us to booking our Zapatillas tour, he helped us with everything and anything we needed. HIGHLY recommend booking the zapatillas tour with him as the tour company he uses is not only respectful of the animals and the environment but were also similar wonderful guides. The hotel itself is nestled in the jungle of the island which was incredible. Sitting on the balcony outside of our room we saw monkeys and during breakfast Pierre pointed out some sloths and even had binoculars for us to use! Simply put, our stay here was magical. Cannot recommend enough.

A Magical Rainforest Escape – Highly Recommended! We absolutely loved our stay at Ataraxia eco lodge! The property is run by a very nice couple who make you feel incredibly welcome from the moment you arrive. It is beautifully located right in the rainforest, allowing you to completely immerse yourself in nature. During our stay, we loved watching monkeys playing, spotting sloths, and seeing a variety of beautiful tropical birds right from the property. The food was another major highlight. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and they also offer a healthy, plentiful, and amazing dinner for an extra fee, which is well worth it. The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful. It is the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy nature, listen to the birds and frogs yipping, and gaze at the stars at night. One thing that travelers should be aware of is that this is a true eco-lodge, so there is no air conditioning in the room. If you are someone who absolutely prefers to sleep in a cold room, keep this in mind. For us, it was part of a wonderful, authentic experience.

Ataraxia is a peaceful and beautiful place hidden between jungle and sea. Saw plenty of wild life both on land and at sea. The food was delicious and the owners and staff always teady to go the extra mile to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Would come back a hundred times if i could. For.the price difference treat yourself to an ocean view cabin, they are fantastic.

Beautiful suite and friendly staff. The walk to town was difficult and not well maintained- I would not want to do it after dark. The food was good but very pricey ($25 USD for dinner of pasta with no veg or protein even for a child who received a smaller portion and of course no wine!) and disappointed there were no local food options. Otherwise very happy with the stay and the staff!

Es war einfach wundervoll. Im Bungalows mit Meerblick fühlte man sich mittendrin im Dschungel, da der Balkon auch nur von Stahlseilen umgeben ist. Das Bett ist groß und bequem und die tägliche Reinigung mit den kleinen liebevollen Details wie besonders arrangierten Handtüchern sehr gut. Das Gelände ist wunderschön, tropisch grün und riesig. Toll ist auch, dass man Kajaks, SUP-Boards, Schnorchel kostenfrei nutzen kann, was wir ausgiebig genossen haben. Frühstück und Abendessen sind sehr lecker, wenngleich letzteres mit 25 $/P. nicht gerade günstig ist. Pierre, Manon und die Voluntarios sind alle sehr nett und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich von der ersten Minute an "im Urlaub" und möchte gar nicht mehr weg. Ganz toll waren übrigens auch die Faultiere und Affen, die wir beim Essen beobachten konnten. Einzig mehr Liegen und/oder Hängematten wären vorteilhaft sowie hochwertigere Weine zum Abendessen (aus der Flasche).
