The staff members of the Stanley Hotel are friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store our bags on our last day after check out until our taxi came to take us to the airport. Check out is not until noon and that extra time makes for a more relaxed experience. The rooftop bar and pool are awesome as is the view of the Parthenon from there. The only negative is not being allowed to flush toilet paper. It is my understanding that has to do with the Greek sewage system not the hotel. We got used to it but it was quite off putting at first. Overall, a very nice place to stay convenient to the Acropolis.

The Stanley Hotel is an excellent place to stay. All the staff are courteous approachable and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The Cloud 9 restaurant and rooftop pool are of the highest quality. Would certainly recommend.

Great location, the staff were super friendly, room is clean and had everything we needed. Only flaws were the shower was super small. I’m not a big person at all and I found it smaller than a cruise ships. The hotel is also used for a lot of tour groups so if you have the breakfast buffet avoid 6:30am-8am as the tours completely empty everything and they usually don’t restock it that quickly. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. The roof top view is AMAZING!

The hotel is nice and quiet. Close to transportation and close to Plaka & the Acropolis. Rooftop was amazing. Just wish the pool was a little bigger but during low seasons, I imagine it’s much less crowded.

It’s a good hotel. Only real complaint would be that the building is lit up green at night and there is no blackout shade to keep your room from lighting up green all night. There are curtains but oddly they don’t cover the entire window. Just weird but prepare for your room to be green all night. Other than that, the hotel is in a good location, good tour buses stop in front. Food is good and staff are nice. Beds are comfortable. Would be nice if they’d put coffee in the lobby each morning though. It’s in your room but I’m up way earlier than my wife so I’m not going to make it in the room. Fix the green light issue and make coffee available and I’d say it’s a perfect hotel for Athens.

The hotel is not in a nice area, lots of run down properties in the vicinity, homeless people, and on our walk to the Archaeological museum, on some side streets we saw drug dealers. Our room had a balcony which was not very clean, however the room and bathroom was in good condition.

The rooftop view is pretty cool and the vibe up there is fun. The breakfast is average, and the hotel could use an update. We feel the hotel is a bit overpriced, but it was full, so what can I say? Friendly staff.
