10/10 Excellent

"The Avra Hotel lived up to the many reviews and we have no hesitation staying there again. It is not a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons, but at the price you get a clean, quiet, friendly staffed facility away from the loud and chaotic buzz of Athens. Near by local restaurants featuring authentic Greek food at reasonable prices are also a plus. Tiny recommendation, email responses can be slow, so call them if you have any questions."

"Receptionist seemed new. Not very welcoming and very quiet. I had paid extra for a bigger room with club lounge access but she didn’t mention this until I asked . Then after she looked again in the system, she said “oh ok I’ll add vip access” as if she was doing me a favour. I then showed her my booking and she again said “yeah I’ll add vip access for the lounge”, once again not really acknowledging that I had already prepaid for this. I then asked about spa/facilities /pool and she informed me that the pool was closed! This had not been prementioned and of course it was disappointing. The room was clean , a decent size and the bed very comfortable. Amazing rain shower. The female server at the club lounge was very friendly and professional. Rooftop bar had a nice vibe, but the service was slow. Overall a good stay for one night."

"I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is amazing. It is close to the Acropolis and the main shopping/restaurant area. The staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are quite small, but very clean and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant was unbelievable. The food was delicious and the view of the Acropolis was stunning!"

"Our stay at the Stanley was wonderful however we booked a standard room as we were only staying for one evening. It was clean. It was everything we needed, but it was in an older tower of the complex and I found that the rooms were a little bit noisy, not dreadful people weren’t partying, but noise did wake me throughout the night. I have stayed in the other part of the hotel and noise has never been an issue otherwise no complaints. Staff was wonderful. The breakfast is great and location is wonderful."
