"It was a truly terrible stay. The room was small and cramped, the air conditioning was uncontrolled, and the heat was too intense for a good night's sleep. There were so many homeless people nearby that I didn't dare go out for a walk. Even worse, they required check-out at 10:00 AM. I left a message saying my friend would pick me up at 11:00 AM and that the cleaners could come after 10:00 AM. I meant I could wait in the living room without interrupting the cleaning process. "We went in for breakfast and the poor waitress was run off her feet with little to no help in sight. She was doing her level best and was treated rudely by some guests where I almost wanted to step in but didn ’t. I was proud of her for not engaging with them in a negative manner.
