Hotel Highgate di Aventura

"Second time staying there. Great location if you are in downtown Miami, but more importantly, staff was very helpful. My daughter left her bag with wallet and keys, and the hotel retrieved it. In this day and age, it's refreshing to stay at a place where the staff is honest and helpful. Rooms are very large, and they have everything you need including a full kitchen. but we ate at the poolside restaurant/bar and the food was great. Thank you to the team at the Elsner."

"The staff was great, excellent bell service and front desk service. They made our stay as they're so postive and helpful eveytime you see them. We loved the staff! The room was very dirty and I can only assume they gave us a less desirable room because we had a small dog with us. The wood floor had a lot of loose dirt/grime and so did the shower. The rooms/bathroom look much bigger in photos so that was a bit of shock to see how tiny it was. I know the buildings are older, but it's something to...

"We stayed in a room with a pull-out couch, but the couch was so uncomfortable that nobody could sleep on it. When we pulled it out and prepared the sleeping area, we discovered a dead cockroach on the bed. As a result, our family ended up sleeping together in the main bed. The room itself appeared poorly maintained. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and there were several maintenance issues in the bathroom.
