The staff were exceptional. I hoping this means they are treated well. They have perks all day long! Croissants and coffee every morning, nachos at lunch, wine and cheese and meats at 5 and pies at 8! We never went hungry.

This was our first time visiting Avila Beach and I'm so glad I chose Avila La Fonda. The location was perfect. The room was comfy. The treats in the room, the food served at various times, and of course the amazing pie, really added to our experience! The pantry was an awesome feature too! Avila Beach was the perfect location for exploring different areas of the central coast during our trip since we headed both north to Morro Bay and South to Pismo to explore those areas in addition to enjoying the quaint town of Avila Beach. The hotel decor and atmosphere was perfect and the staff were incredibly nice.

Every time we visit, we are blown away by the amenities of the facility. I end up saying it every time, "They really have thought of everything"! My favorite bonus...the food! With fresh croissants and OJ in the morning, chips and salsa bar with Mexican Coke and beer in the afternoon, wine and charcuterie in the evening, and finishing the day with fresh-baked pie and ice cream before a night walk under the stars, I book a room here just for this. But did I mention the jacuzzi tub and fireplace in the room, the comfy bed, or enjoying your complimentary welcome snack basket and wine with the sound of the ocean from your balcony? They have a movie library to choose from if you want to stay in, or beach chairs to borrow if you want to go out. Lots of seating areas in the lobby and outside if you want to sit and chat with other guests...we've made new friends there with each visit. The beach, sports bar & golf course, both with regular live music, wineries, and restaurants are all within walking distance. Love this place!
