"A clean, very well equipped apartment on a lovely quiet little street. Looks like a very recent renovation of an historic building. We had a bit of a problem getting in as the instructions were sent very late, and it’s totally automated. However, after that, communication was very good. The electric stopped working and a staff person was there to help within minutes. "We were encouraged by a tour guide to book a multi-star resort hotel in the Center of Siracusa. But, our research persuaded us that a boutique hotel on the Island of Ortigia was more in line with our standards and preferences. The Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel both met and exceeded our expectations. Everything, including the Center of Siracusa was within walking distance. The morning breakfast was convenient and ample. The bar was a nice place for a nightcap and the whisky selection was excellent. Our Junior Suite was very comfortable with quiet and great air conditioning. Our only regret was that we did not have more time to enjoy the terrace and views that were connected to our room."

"This property exceeded by far my expectations! To start they send you the self check in instructions by WhatsApp (clear and to the point including a step by step video). Location is on a relatively wide street and we were able to find a street parking spot easily and 10 mins walk to the beach. The room itself is clean and stylish. The shower space was the biggest we've seen in Sicily with waterfall shower and a great water pressure. Bed was comfy. We also had access to a very nice terrace close to the breakfast area (that included chilling cats) The only downside was that we chose a room on the ground floor (easier with the luggage) and it is very close to the breakfast area and it can get noisy. But this can easily be fixed by choosing a room on the higher floors. Thank you!"

"Location is off the beaten track but provides great views and a peaceful location. Lots of work had been done to create this place and we understand that lots more is in the pipeline which is great. Lovely welcome on arrival and very helpful and informative staff. If you have use of a car, then we found this was a great base for exploring the south eastern parts of Sicily."

"So it was hard To check in because the address on the website is 14, but access to the B&B is through 16. The numbers listed on the front of #14 are non functioning. It was really hard to check in and until the host answered the message through the website we were not able to check in. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although no blankets were provided and it was very cold in the room. Stayed 2 nights, the host was very nice and breakfast was great!!!"
