"Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely clean room. Beautiful warm pool and sauna and steam room. Breakfasts were delicious. A lovely chilled and much needed break."

"The staff are a Great team, they made our stay very enjoyable. I have always wanted to stay there ever since I was a young boy . My wife and I will go back again. If all Hotels had staff so nice every one would have no complaints . David and the receptionist staff brilliant and the lady in charge of the restaurant and breakfast room all staff First class ."

"Beautiful old main building. Bedroom comfortable but the bathroom could have been better maintained. Breakfast was excellent with good quality food but the breakfast room is very dark.
On Expedia it said our booking included dinner but it was only a £30 allowance. The sea food was perfectly cooked but meat courses were average.
The place was overrun with weddings which blocked ac ess to the bar on occasion.
The swimming pool was lovely."

"Breakfast excellent. Gym and pool area great. Staff lovely and very helpful. Rooms very clean. A few simple issues like no soap in the shower dispenser, light bulb by bed missing. Safe not working. All small things which should have been checked when the room was cleaned.
Communal bar area was not very clean. Saw an old slice of lime on the floor by patio doors and it was still there the following morning. The breakfast tables were not clean underneath ( the centre leg) it is a nice hotel just...

"All felt very dated. Walls and floors all paper thin, could hear everything from folks waking at 6am, with the addition of construction work right outside the window at 7:30am. Rooms, whilst clean, were basic and tired, and far too warm with no ability to adjust temperature. Pay and display parking (with no guest discount) is a bit odd too.
Not sure what grants this a 4*, but it certainly isn’t. Get what you pay for.
