"An excellent hotel and very reasonably priced. We ate on the terrace in fantastic weather. Also at breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Our cosy courtyard room was modern and well kept and the cold fan certainly helped. The building, grounds and staff are really great. We will stay again."

"Nice basic place to stay. It's a pity there is no vending machines for snacks and drinks or even ice. It was quiet during the night. Shower was very good. I stayed when we were having a heatwave so the room was extremely warm day and night. The fan provided did help thank you"

"Strikingly looking hotel. Unfortunately on entering reception, we were greeted with a dirty carpet, which carries on into the bar area with lots of stains. Our room was up 2 flights of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Therefore, in this heatwave, the room was an oven. There was a desk fan - 'thank goodness'. Pleased with the room, the layout and amenities. Curtains need seeing to, useless and need blackouts! All the staff were pleasant and hard working. Did not expect a buffet...

"My room was super clean and tidy with everything you may need.
All the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful.
Private parking just outside my room.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
I ate dinner here which was simply supeb"

"All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Manager even helped us with our cases.
Didn't use the bar or restaurant as we had other plans, but did have breakfast. The cooked breakfast was fine - have had better but many worse!!"

"The room was very clean , comfortable bed and crisp white linen and towels.
Lots of hot water for a nice hot bath .
The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming.
We arrived late in the evening so didn't drink in the bar.
The breakfast was brilliant, good quality produce and good coffee.
All of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive.
We will definitely stay again when travelling south .
Although rooms a little dated, they were very spacious , clean and neutrally...
