"Mooons is a great hotel near the Main Station in Vienna (3 minute walk) which was very convenient us as we did not rent a car. The hotel is unique with a moon theme throughout. Our room was a Standard room with a Garden View. We were on the 6th floor and the view was great. Others in our party stayed on the 2nd floor and their view wasn't as great. The bed was very comfortable! The shower was wonderful! We loved having air conditioning and a mini fridge. The huge round window with a cushion to sit/relax on was very unique. The only suggestion we have for the room is to either get rid of the carpet or shampoo it more frequently as ours was fairly stained.
A great perk was free drinks in the bar in exchange for forgoing housekeeping services! The bar served a variety of drinks and had a small selection of hot food items available. This hotel has a rooftop bar that is open to the public and was quite popular during our stay. We went up to see the view (beautiful!) but there was no seating available. Everyone at the rooftop bar were quite dressed up, so consider that if you plan to hang out there.
In addition to the Main Station, Mooons is near grocery stores and restaurants. We used public transportation to travel to other parts of Vienna including Old Town."
