Comfy beds, great service, super friendly staff, tasty breakfast, quiet at night. Area is a little dark at night, not sure I’d walk around by myself then, but apart from that, everything about this guesthouse was excellent.

Can’t rate it 5 stars as anything other than an excellent backpackers’ hostel! Toilet and shower on every floor; private rooms available; cooking facilities; and run by a friendly Nepalese family.

Friendly place, comfortable and large rooms plus great view of Pimbahal Pukhu.

The property was beautifully designed, comfortable and the breakfast provided was delicious. The only downside was the courtyard was very brightly lit at night and the curtains were very thin white fabric which meant the room was not dark at nighttime and prevented me from a good nights sleep. The taxi was unable to get to the property due to the narrow streets so you need to carry your bags a short distance which is not a problem. nice hotel in the center of Kathmandu. Quiet and cozy. Really like home. There disable shared kitchen and the possibility cook. Friendly owners and staff.

Great place according to money/service rate

I love being at Kathmandu homestay! I came back here bacause I loved it so much. The family running it is just so nice and they help you with everything and you become part of their lives for a few days. If you want the feeling of coming home after a day then stay here. Breakfast is simple but good and they invite you for dinner one evening you are staying with them. I love masala tea!!!

I spent a lovely two nights at Shakya House. All of the staff were very friendly, especially the owner. I stayed in the Green Tara room (twin) - the mattresses were very comfortable, the room was very clean and had some lovely furnishings. The bathroom is clean and has a very hot shower. There is a pleasant self-service breakfast room with fruit, breads, eggs,cereals, tea and coffee. At the front, there is a lovely, peaceful garden. it's of our incredible stay at this Dahachok Homestay. The main part of they served Local home grown organic vegetables and other foods, which are very rare to find other touring places. The rooms were very comfortable, bright and nice. Internet speed was good and Hot shower facilities. it's location is just off the crowd city and very calm environment.

Host is very helpful. The staff on premises was very helpful 24x7. Highly recommend the place if you want to sleep like a baby after a full day.
