"The property is centrally located in Lucca, a walled town. The instructions for entry into the property were very clear. The units are on the 1st floor, but this is Europe and they have 0 as ground floor and there is no lift. Driving within Lucca is a challenge, but that is part of the charm. Parking can be a challenge, but once you figure it out, it’s not bad. All in all, it was an amazing experience. The A/C struggled to beat back the heat, but that was typical for Italy in August. ...
"Love the room. It has a beautiful view and it's got everything we wanted. One thing is that because it's the ground floor, we can hear (and sometimes smell) the bathroom odor but very seldom and we would definitely stay again despite this."
"This is a lovely place to stay in a wonderful location central to everything in Lucca. The room was clean, spacious, well decorated and importantly air conditioned (needed in that august heat!)

"The staff were excellent and the hotel itself was fine. The issue was one of isolation. If you aren’t travelling by car then options are significantly limited. Taxis are almost impossible to get (they have to
travel from Pisa), the buses were intermittent and weren’t running at the weekend. It also isn’t safe to walk along the main road to access other amenities. On our first night both restaurants were closed (something that we weren’t told when we checked in) and the nearest supermarket...
