"Value for money, but don’t expect the ritz. The hotel is clean, but in need of modernisation. This is for the hotel and also the gym / pool / sauna. Everything just needs updating and a lick of paint. Friendly staff, great little pub next door showing sky and tnt sports with nice beer, nice staff and a good home based food menu. "

"Apart from my room which was warm and comfortable but lacked a bath towel, with only a shampoo and a very little round soap being provided, the whole place seemed sad and lonely. The Reception was poorly lit and signed, and was cold and damp; I appeared to be one of only two guests staying on the Saturday night and the guests in the room next to mine kept their television on until 5.15am and periodically seemed to drop something heavy on the floor. "The room was pretty cold on arrival, but soon worked out how to get the heating on.Staff were very helpful and managed to sort out my booking, that Expedia failed to notify the hotel, so they were not expecting me.The room was aa bit outdated,and not very soundproof, the 7 lane bypass was very noisy during the night,even with the window closed."
