"The hotel is nice. The hotel pub is the same. And the staff is polite. The coffee machine DID NOT WORK in the room. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets. "Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"It’s decent, needs a bit of maintenance work. Our room wasn’t super clean, bits in the bath and the cupboards had black marks on them. Hallways smelled a little of manure … The drinks were expensive too… Half the spa facilities were not working… Otherwise, the peacocks are a nice touch and the landscaping is beautiful. "Lovely old building, good location exceptional breakfast. Parking is a bit of a nightmare after a 10 point turn in the car park had to find parking across the road which was no problem for my little car but you might struggle with a bigger car."

"We stayed in an Executive run which was well maintained and spacious if a little dated. Bathroom had been updated but corners had been cut like an old siding on the bath. Air con worked well and the room was quiet overnight. Breakfast wasn’t great. Limited choices and the eggs were terrible both scrambled and fried, but it was only £10 each. "Clean apartment, nice kitchen area with coffee machine and plenty of tea and coffee provided. Lovely apartment with short walk to city centre yet it was very quiet. Free parking was great too."

"I was allocated a tiny room with no air conditioning. Shower also didn't work. In fairness, when i reported problems, staff quickly put it right. I paid £288 for 2 rooms which i feel were very substandard. However staff were excellent and food was good."

"We had the perfect stay. The Owls Nest was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. From the comfy bed, hot tub and the Webber bbq all made it so relaxing. Dog friendly which was a bonus. Jenny & Margaret were great hosts. We appreciated the special touches. We had such a lovely time that booked to go again before we left. Highly recommended."
