The property was clean and safe. The room was cold even with the heat turned up, I could not get warm. Low maintenance, laminate flooring, while easy to clean and maintain, make the rooms cold and echoing.

We chose this hotel based upon a single review, which "praised" the hotel as "Not your typical Motel 6 " Now I m not sure what that meant, but it is not in great shape, and really has lost its: "charm" But, for $100 for 1 nite, we said what the heck. We're here, so lets stay...but not for any more nites.. Good news--the sheets were clean.

Honestly, this was my first stay at a Motel 6. I have heard mixed things from friends who have stayed there before, but I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. The room was clean and large, and the check-in staff was nice (Peter). We stared at another hotel in the area that was priced higher and was not as nice. Price to value this was a winner and we would stay here again :)

Bare minimum room. No coffee pot only one sliver of soap no hair dryer. Bed was good but hotel was stingy with pillows, you only were allowed two per queen bed. Thank goodness the truck stop nearby had great breakfast.

I had a nice quiet stay. The staff were excellent and friendly. My only complaint was the bed was a bit firm for me.

My wife and I would definitely stay here again, when we are in Baker City. The staff is very friendly and helpful; the location is quite yet convenient; the room was clean and new looking.

Comfortable.
I left my personal pillow when I left there a couple of weeks earlier. I called and they bagged it and kept it for me until I returned. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Nice and quiet.

Not a typical Motel 6
I don’t stay at Motel 6 typically because in my experience they are dingy and drug infested. This particular Motel 6 has changed my mind. The staff were wonderful. The room was clean and not creepy. The place felt safe. The sleeping area was spacious. The tv was small but I didn’t use it. The bed was not as comfortable as I would hope. I have stayed at a few different hotels in Baker City but this one will be my go to hotel. Seriously, the positive reviews are true. I was leery when I made the reservation but definitely glad I decided to try it. The staff really understand customer service and making us feel welcome. I am still surprised that this great motel is actually a Motel 6. Good work to the staff for making it a motel that is comfortable, quiet, and safe.

When we arrived the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. The floor was very dirty. The bathtub and sink had hair in them. The pillowcases and sheets were turned inside out. Overall it looked terrible. Manager was apologetic but it was a mess.

We liked that it was secluded and farther from the freeway and that there was lots of grass for our dogs to use. We didn’t like hearing the dog next to us bark nonstop or hearing the construction workers above us bang around. I’d recommend bringing earplugs like we did. The price was good, the service was good, and the room was cleaned but we found 4-5 bugs in different locations crawling around. A black spider was in our bed.

The staff were very friendly. The room and the grounds were very clean. They don't provide the extras, other than a bar of soap, so be sure to bring your own. No microwave or coffee pot in the room. I dont usually stay in Motel 6, so this may be typical for this chain. I would still recommend this hotel.
