Breakfast was good, our room, the Jane Austen was large and superbly done up. The bathroom was the best I’ve encountered in the UK. The Sunday Roast was delectable.
Excellent location, nice room, comfy bed and decent shower. Pub and restaurant are good too, as was breakfast. Staff helpful. Limited parking, we got a space, just. If you want a parking space better to get there before 3pm.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean and very comfortable, there was even a lounge area which we didn't expect. The hotel itself is in a prime location so everything is within walking distance.
The bar at the hotel is well stocked and we did dine at the hotel and the food was amazing. The only downside I can think of is the parking situation. The hotel does have parking but with very limited spaces, but there is plenty of other parking options which the hotel does inform you about before hand.
My wife and I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in a four poster bedroom in late October 26. The hotel is a fascinating place (in a good way). Steeped in history but extremely well maintained. The bedroom was superb, luxurious and super clean with a very comfortable bed.
We had both evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. Both were exceptional and decent value too.
The staff were all professional, polite and friendly.
Only minor gripe is the parking. The hotel parking itself is small and tight. Plus you will need to be there early to get a space. Public options are a 5 min walk away and not cheap.
Other than that we were delighted with our stay and would gladly stay again if in the area.
It’s great hotel in a great location. We had dinner there which was excellent.lovely dining room.
The only disappointing part was the room was very small and stuffy but the bathroom was great
This was my first solo trip on my birthday, and the staff were very helpful and kind, and the room was wonderfully cosy. I would highly recommend anyone going, and I will be returning again soon. The hotel is literally in the heart of Bakewell and close to Chatsworth House. Parking: I would recommend going to the bridge car park nearby, as it has overnight parking and reasonable priced.
