"Amazing property. Beautiful location. Well maintained and situated perfectly to take advantage of the natural surroundings. Rooms clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked including umbrellas mounted outside the door."

"Such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating in all aspects of our stay. We will be back and recommend to others. The grounds and surrounding area are so beautiful. Flora and fauna abound."

"Fint opphold på dette hotellet"

"great pool close enough to national park but hotel is a little tired"

"Loved all of it!!!! This is a beautiful and mystical hotel with lovely gardens and fine dining. There were so many beautiful rooms and the staff were exceptional."

"We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, catered to our needs very effectively"

"Very nice place. The people were very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend the private safari the drivers are really good."

"Incredible place, accomodation is luxury, views are breathtaking, staff are lovely. If I went again I wouldnt take the half board option and order off the menu as the food and options were better and not particularly expensive. "

"Room was large and beds very comfortable. Hot water ran out in the morning so cold shower for friend. Food was varied and tasty at breakfast and evening meal. Lovely bar serving a variety of drinks and cocktails. Staff very friendly and helpful"

"Stayed here for 1 night but it was absolutely delightful! The staff was very hospitable, the amenities were great, location of the hotel relative to the touristy attractions was fantastic. The breakfast was a la carte but on point, room was decent sized and clean too. Gave us nothing to complain about. 9/10 and would highly recommend."

"Nice peaceful location with Good views . Staff is very helpful"

"Room was spacious and nice. Welcoming 5 min massage was great and full body massage for fair price was very good. Whirlpool in sauna area was under maintenance. Service in restaurant was very bad. We ate their twice, both 15 min nobody cared about us, then once ordered nothing happened another 20 minutes, not even drinks came. Second day for breakfast same experience. Food though was good and prices fair. Definitely they have service issues in their restaurant."

"The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better! The room looked onto the pool and was beautiful. The rain couldn’t be helped but it was quite loud against the roof of the room. The Sri Lankan breakfast after my safari was lovely and I also had dinner the night before, however I would say there wasn’t very clear communication of timings or where to go once I checked in but for dinner the guy from the hotel on WhatsApp answered all of my questions."

"A peaceful nature retreat with incredible fresh food. Our stay at Kalu’s Hideaway was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We loved the wholesome farm-to-table dining—tasting fresh red dragon fruit straight from the garden, sweet pineapples, mangos, and delicious Sri Lankan vegetables. The property itself is surrounded by nature. The butterfly garden was an unexpected treat, and waking up to the tranquil morning sounds of birds overlooking the Udawalawe reserve canopy was magical. Highly recommended for a relaxing family getaway!"

"Lovely staff and service"

"Few things were super impressive as follows: 1) All the staffs were so helpful, welcoming and always there for us when we needed. 2) If you prefer something that gives you a traditional vibes apart from a concrete high rise building this place is highly recommended. 3) The entire place was neat and clean along with worthy prices. Besides these nothing was found by me which is problematic or annoying. Long story short,I liked staying there."
