"Lovely Victorian hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a classic double room which was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The gardens were beautiful. It was rather hot in the bedroom but thankfully we could open the windows wide. All in all a lovely place to stay."

"Welcoming staff and a lovely clean hotel. The room had everything we required. The bathroom was small, which was okay, but there were a few things which needed addressing. The mirror was chipped and the paintwork near the bath needed attention. The restaurant is lovely, although the pudding had a hair cooked into the biscuit. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. "Welcoming for dogs - they provided dog towel and dog blanket as well as dog bowls and rubber mat. Great location and also right beside the bus stop too if you want to catch the bus."
