"Stayed in 2 rooms. Overall, an exceptional value and experience for a modest hotel. Thoughts below.
Excellent:
-location is perfect. near food, bars and sites (within 15m walk), not close enough to a mosque to wake you up with the call to prayer
-shower is nice and hot with greatv water pressure
-cleaning staff will come daily if you want
-kettle with coffee and tea, in-room
-free filtered water on each floor
-blackout curtains
Very good/Good:
-staff
-comfort of bed and pillows
Fair:
-a discerning eye will notice some age/wear and tear in the room. My first one was missing a tile and had some damage to the walls
-queen size room had a well thought out layout, but only space for 1 night stand. Could be tight for a couple
-windows don't open more than a crack. No views.
Dislikes:
-TV was very difficult to operate. You have to get really close to it and angle the remote from an awkwardly low position to get it to work. And even then, it only worked 1/3 of the time. Volume is locked. Channels were limited.
-the door often beeps when closing, which is a problem, because...
-you can hear a pin drop in the halls from inside the room.
Side note: Google says they're open, but the state museum/gallery and the fort are both closed for repairs"
