"Had a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Fabulous breakfast in the hotel restaurant and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. One even drove with me to get me settled in the parking lot associated with the hotel. I probably wouldn’t have found it otherwise even though it is only a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend staying here. Loved Tarifa as well. The relaxed beach vibe was exactly what I needed"
"Hotel is very good, swimming pool area is excellent.
All the staff we encounters were polite and professional.
The breakfast food was the best, although some apple juice would have been nice. Also I was unable to have a Latte or a cappuccino. But everything else in the selection was great.
The rooms are good, maybe in need of some updates. It is disappointing that there are no USB charging points in the rooms. I would expect these to be available in hotels these days.
The most difficult issue is parking, there is very little, we had to park quite a way from the hotel on the street and walk back."
Amàre Beach Hotel Sancti Petri - Adults Recommended
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is wonderful! It's right by a stunning beach. The hotel doesn't have loungers on the beach, but there is a separate bar that offered these for a charge. The pools are beautiful, and the staff was very friendly (probably the main asset of this property).
Things that's lacking for a 5 star hotel and that could be improved: I sent multiple emails through Expedia, which weren't answered to. There is no hotel shuttle or taxi partnership; the room cleaning mlacked attention to detail (partial restocking, etc).; coffees weren't great, so we had them at the beach bar from the hotel nearby;
There is private paid parking right in front of the hotel (the info on theor website isn't very clear on parking) and seems to have lots of space
The breakfast buffet was great;
We had a seaview room above the golf court, and this was wonderful
We ate at Hayaca, the rooftop restaurant twice and the food was mixed: some fishes like empanadas were exceptional, other dishes (burger) came cold"
"First thing to note is there are no lifts in the low rise blocks to the bedrooms. Ours was the top floor so 4 short flights of stairs but not great if you have a lot of luggage. Very nice spacious well appointed rooms and good size balcony. The only negative comment was about the old shower head, and not great water pressure but it did not change our overall opinion for our short stay but these small details could be better. This is an all inclusive resort. The choice and quality of the food for all meals was excellent but the alcoholic drinks did not seem to contain that much alcohol. For mid October we did not expect this very large hotel to be fully booked but it was throughout our stay. This was our first time at a RIU hotel and clearly it has a popular following. But note it can get a bit busy and loud around pools and activities, but great for young families with kids. There are 75 wooden steps down from the dunes behind the hotel to access the beach although the sandy La Barrosa beach is truly stunning, and the sea is shallow for a good way out. Car parking (non EV) is in two car parks opposite the hotel across the road and the hotel charges €5 per day. Overall we had a nice time at this hotel and would recommend it for families with young children as there are many excellent facilities available for them especially. The highlight of the week is Friday as they have the RIU party that night and it was a pity we were not able to stay longer to see it."
"Room are big enough with nice balcony. Could be cleaner and without ants. Food was very good, lots of options. Every day dinner was different with good quality. Staff was very helpful. Beach and surrounding very nice."
"A very modern hotel. The facilities were great, rooftop pool, bar, restaurant.
Location was perfect for the town and the beach
The staff were very efficient and very friendly.
Throughly recommend"
