The pub is lovely too serving a vast range of beverages. I would suggest to the property (I haven't asked so not sure if it is an oversight but was the same on both occasions) only 1 towel (although lovely towels) per person and no hand towel, also, a shower mat for inside the shower and a towel for the floor as it is extremely slippery both...

"The hotel was lovely with a welcoming atmosphere. The location was an ideal base for exploring the local attractions. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet with very comfortable beds. Housekeeping was daily which was lovely. Food was very good with an excellent breakfast, spoilt for choice including options for those with allergies/intolerances. I have allergies to soya, cow’s dairy, egg and beef which is a real challenge for me, especially when eating out. The waiters and chef could not have been more helpful in accommodating me which I really appreciated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again."

"The Whately Hall was even better than we expected. The room was large and airy with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The evening meal was served by a very polite waitress for whom nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was self service with a choice of continental and a Full English Breakfast with a choice of how you wanted your eggs cooked. Or both if you had enough room. All the staff were exceptionally well mannered and it was clear that they were there to help whenever they were needed. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay."
