And they managed to get my booking changed so I could stay that night which was a relief. The hotel itself is lovely, clean, modern and brand new but the staff are exceptional. "Beautiful location set back in large park; rooms are in a purpose-built annexe behind pub, so no pass through noise (although pub was generally quiet and very nice, especially the garden); easy parking; short drive to Hepworth Museum; breakfast was delicious; friendly and efficient welcome. "Very pleasant stay for 1 night attending a business meeting locally. They can use an extra pair of hands behind the bar for the early hours of the evening when there was a bit of a queue. Otherwise couldn't fault the place and will gladly be back again."

"What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside. Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean. Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant! "Beautiful property in a beautiful village. Very large beer garden, large bathroom with a bath (instead of a standard shower). They provided a fan to partially compensate for lack of A/C (during a record breaking heatwave), but wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever in South Yorkshire. Easy FREE parking."
