"I really enjoyed my stay at the Strathaven Hotel. Staff were wonderful and helpful (probably the best at any hotel I have stayed at). The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable (I slept soundly!). The breakfast was included and there’s nothing like a Scottish breakfast! I will definitely return!! Well worth it!"

"We have stayed here before and it is a good practical option for us when we visit family. It is clean modern and nice and warm. We have stayed twice before in different rooms, both of which were bigger than the one we had this time. It would really have been more suitable for a single guest. That being said, we did manage ok for 2 nights. We did notice the noise from other guests a bit more this time than we did before. The location is ideal as there are shops, bars and decent restaurants...

"Staff was the BEST part of our stay! Attentive & went above & beyond. We had an early flight and they still accommodated breakfast to go for us. Rooms were clean & bed was comfortable. Parking however can be limited and you may have to park on the street. However you can pull up to the main entrance to drop your luggage with the staff so you do not have to make the (very) short walk if you have to street park. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"First time staying at the Dakota. Really nice hotel, staff were lovely. Got upgraded to a king room, nice little touches. Couple of little issues in the room, manager took note and they couldn’t apologise enough and adjusted my bill for the inconvenience. One of the best sleep in a hotel I’ve had, so quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be back."

"Nice hotel with friendly staff. Food at the restaurant was tasty & reasonably priced given the location. It’s about a 5 minute walk outside to the airport. For those wanting to go into Glasgow there is an express bus located you can pickup from the airport with brings you near Glasgow Central Train station. It was approximately 15 pounds round trip, but it saves so much time & hassle - over what Google Maps shows."

"I had many thoughts about a hospital hotel. How far from the hospital and would it really be as nice as it looks. Well it was better than expected and the bonus was how it was part of the hospital, we had come by bus / train and so easy to find. Just ask people if you get stuck, bus driver was great. Food, we ate from the dinning room, very reasonably priced and good quality food. We enjoyed the pool too. I would say, a sign at the hospital entrance would be good. As we did get anxious about...
