"The $75 pet fee is excessive in my opinion. A pet deposit that is refunded if no damage or incidents occur would be more fair. I will not be staying here again unless the policy is changed. Otherwise, everything else was quite good."

"Luckily I only stayed for one night. I was tired of driving and it was close to the interstate. This was, honestly, the worst hotel that I had ever stayed. Dirty, dirty, dirty, staff barely present. I won't make that mistake again"

"Hotel was under renovations. Elevator mad scary noise every time it started. Pool has been closed for a while. Only one warm shower during the the days there. TV remote did not work in room. Only the hangers in closet. Sink had crud in it. Bed was good. Room was cold. Breakfast was decent for free. Computer in lobby did not work."

"Oxford is such a charming little city and The Oliver went out of their way to make our stay special. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and when (not if) I go back to Oxford, the only hotel I’ll be staying at is The Oliver."

"The property needed proper maintenance needs. The pool was closed and there was glass and a broken windshield in the parking lot. The advertised breakfast buffet was simply Cheerios, cereal bars, and fruit. Overall the property was run down and needs upgrading."

"Excellent location within walking distance of the Square, and quiet, with very nice staff, but otherwise overpriced. Terrible linens. Towels were thin and scratchy. The bed lacked a mattress cover, which most hotels have. The fitted sheet did not fit the king-size bed properly and pulled off at the edges while we slept. Our bathroom was never cleaned during our three-night stay, nor were our bed linens ever changed. We will stay elsewhere on our next trip to Oxford."
