"We have stayed at the Algonquin on multiple occasions and this stay was not as enjoyable as past stays. We ate at the Rite Whale pub and the food was not good at all! I almost broke a tooth on the calamari! The service was poor and it was not busy at the pub at all…we were charged a resort fee of $35 at the end of our stay without an explanation and were not told at time of check in that this would occur. Our room wasn’t very clean and the furniture and linens were quite worn out. We were also front row to the renovations of the new spa which was loud. The pool area was lacking in seating and we were left to sit on our towels on the floor…there is def room for improvement based on our stay!"
